» IT'S HARVESTIME: A SEASON OF HARVEST IN ALL AREAS OF LIFE. LEARN TO ACTIVATE THE HARVEST

I instinctively knew that we are into a new season, a season of harvests in all areas. I instinctively knew that we are into a new season, a season of harvests in all areas. Psalms 67, verse 5-6 talks about praising God and the earth shall yield her increase and God will bless us. I thought the earth was commanded to yield its fruit. The fall affected the earth and praises to God will cause the earth to be restored to yielding her increase. On a spiritual note, the earth represents our heart where the seed of the Word is planted. This too will yield her increase. What does it mean to praise God? It means to give expression to God’s powerful acts; it is a declaration of the great acts of God. Psalms 103 is an example of praises to God. “Bless the Lord Oh my soul and forget not His benefits, who forgives and heals etc.” Words are involved in praises and a lifestyle of declaring the praises of God will produce such powerful experiences for the believer that will outstand any one. Hebrews 13:15 says we should continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. Ish.57:19 talks about God creating the fruit of the lips. When we offer the fruit of our lips, God creates it for us.

In Mark 11:23-24, believing is mentioned once and saying three times in one verse 23. We need to say what we believe three times as much as we believe it. Actually, what we see, hear and at we act upon affects what we activate in our lives. If we see from God’s perspective, we can align ourselves with His programme, and then allow our orientation to change accordingly. This will release in us a lifestyle that agrees with God’s season for our lives. To activate God’s season of harvest is to see it, hear it, say it and act on it, expecting God to do His part. Every season in our lives is characterised by what we see, what we hear, what we say and how we act. In Genesis 13 God told Abram to look up, and as far as his eyes could see was his to possess. God’s Word has the ability to paint a new future and picture for us. Jehoshaphat, the King in 2 Chronicles heard that the battle was the Lords and that gave a new perspective to the battle. That affected their battle plans. David’s perspective of Goliath was definitely not Saul’s. In 1 Samuel 17, David spoke words that implied that what they all saw did not register the same way with David as it did with all others who were afraid. They saw a man too big to deal with, David saw a man too big to miss with his sling and stone. Our study this time is centred on words as tools for activating our harvests. Too many scriptures validate the fact that Words precede victories and accomplishments in God. God has ordained praise to still the avenger. David praised God for helping him to kill the lion and the bear. Proverbs 18:21, death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Jesus in the storm said PEACE BE STILL. The fruit of His lips was a calm sea. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Words produce things Matthew 12:34-35. Things are a product of words.

It is time to start saying what is in agreement with God so we can change what we have been experiencing. Luke21: 15 talks about a mouth and wisdom to deal with the adversary. The mouth is seen here as a tool of warfare. Not just for eating or mere talking but a tool to accomplish things in the spirit. David used the tool of his mouth to kill Goliath. What are you using your mouth to accomplish? There is something about your mouth that is involved with God’s will for your life. In Psalms 91, we see the psalmist says “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress.” I will say, defines the process that is involved is bringing into a material reality, a spiritual reality.

THE LIFE CYCLE
There is a life or death cycle that we are involved with in our words and thoughts. What we say affects our hearts and what is in abundance in our hearts will affect our mouths. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. My mouth is like a pen of a ready writer, it writes on my heart what ever comes out of my mouth. So the heart and mouth connection determines the cycle that runs our lives. If the heart, through the old nature, is filled with death, the mouth speaks death and the cycle of death continues to bring stealing, killing and destruction. The change takes place when we allow the Word of God to break into that cycle and produce a life cycle in our lives. Our mouths speak the Word and our hearts embrace life. This cycle brings about the things of God that are good and perfect. Blessings flow from the life cycle.
